The ski mountain at Durango Mountain
Resort covers 2,500 acres, with nine
chairlifts. The mountains top elevation
is 10,822 feet, and the base 8,793 feet.
Purgatory mountain receives an average
of 20 feet of powder during ski season,
and 260 inches of annual snow. A
snow-making system covers almost 80%
of the ski terrain ensuring great snow a
well as over 300 days a year of Sunshine!
 There are great runs for all levels of
skiing, 23% beginner, 51% intermediate
and  Over 25% of the ski runs are
advanced and Xprt for the adventure
seekers.

In addition to skiing, there are sleigh
rides, snow mobile tours,ski biking,
snow-shoeing, alpine sledding,snow
boarding, ski races, yoga & cooking
classes (Durango Mountain Institute),
ski beach, special events & more
opportunities to enjoy on the mountain.

The mountain night life is pleasantly
mellow, but not to fret. The hopping
down-town Durango bar & music scene
is an easy 30 minutes drive if you have
any energy left after playing in the
snow! On the mountain drinks can be
enjoyed at Purgies, School House Pizza,
Sow's Ear, & Yummy Last Run
Restaurant.
